Emtel Powers Auto Dealership Through Outages, Cuts Electricity Bill by 95%

Problem

A leading car dealership was facing frequent network operations outages due to inconsistent grid performance, voltage spikes, and unstable energy supply. The disruptions not only affected daily business but also put sensitive systems and machinery at risk. The dealership needed a reliable solution that would both stabilize power and provide backup in the event of an outage.

Solution

Emtel implemented a custom energy storage system featuring 12 of its advanced supercapacitor modules, totaling 42.6 kWh of storage and 72 kW of peak power. The system provided a 65-minute backup window, ensuring zero downtime during network failures and voltage fluctuations. In addition to the uninterrupted power supply (UPS) protection, the installation smoothed out power delivery across the dealership, prolonging the lifespan of essential equipment and systems.

Outcome

Powered entirely by clean, renewable energy, the system generated approximately 123 MWh annually—offsetting the dealership’s energy use and leading to a dramatic 95% reduction in electricity costs.

What began as a risk mitigation project became a long-term energy strategy, providing operational resilience, equipment protection, and substantial savings—all while supporting the dealership’s sustainability goals.
